Devonport Challange 67

Supporting Mifrasim, one stitch at a time

As a special contribution to Mifrasim, a non-profit organization using sailing as a therapeutic tool, we volunteered to craft and install a new set of custom handmade leather chafe protectors for their Devonport Challenge 67 yacht. The original protectors, located on the mast spreader ends and deck rigging, were worn and in need of replacement.

This was a purely voluntary project, done as a gesture of support for the organization’s inspiring mission. Each chafe protector was carefully handmade and measured for the specific dimensions and needs of the rigging. The result is both functional and in keeping with the classic aesthetics of this iconic yacht.

In addition to this recent work, we also took part in the yacht’s delivery in 2017, sailing the first leg from Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands to Marina Douro in Portugal — a memorable passage that deepened our connection to both the Yacht and Mifrasim's mission.
